BRILLIANT!!! I just played Portal 1 through from beginning to end the other night while Portal 2 pre-installed and even the third time it was awesome.

Portal 2 has taken it to the next level. Co-op with voice chat is just sooooooo cool!!! And the new single player adds some new dimensions to the challenges. Two words, GET IT!!!

Portal 2 is the best of the series so far.

Spent over 25 hours playing the single player mode, and have gotten all the non-co-op achievements possible. Found some pretty interesting hidden areas too.

Not many cake references in number 2, it's good to know they're not milking it.

On a side note, I need a friend to play the co-op with... anyone?

what is actually involved with portal 2. is it some sort of puzzle game?
all this talk about it is making me want to get it.

yes there is a portal 1 and it is a puzzle type with some great comedy in it

They have a free demo called 'Portal: First Slice'. You can get this as soon as you install Steam on your PC.
Portal 1 is available on Steam for ~US$10 by itself, or ~US$20 as part of 'The Orange Box' package.
