Default Time for a new keyboard / mouse

    Guys,
I'm up for a new keyboard and mouse.

Mouse wise, the last 4 have been logitech, I'm sick to death of the charging cradles refusing to charge after 12 - 18 months unless you want to spend a few minutes playing around making sure it's charging before walking away.

For me a 2 button with scroll will suffice, I've always spent ~$100 - ~$130 on previous mice. I guess now it's time to make the move to batteries as from what I've heard they tend to last ages anyway, even with heavy use which is what I would fit into it.

I have looked at plenty this morning but can't seem to narrow it down to anything I like the look of, currently using a Logitech MX Revolution.

On the keyboard front I like something which has a soft feel and quiet as I tend to get up at stupid hours of the morning and don't want to wake anyone else up, I'm not much of a gamer by any stretch of the imagine so need need for any that extra garbage that they tend to come with ie lcd display, how many frags you have left etc.

I've looked at a few this morning and think of the keyboard front Meka G1 looks nice and fits the bill but would be nice to have something with basic media player buttons but not the be all and end all if it doesn't.

Currently using Logitech Wave, not really a massive fan with the wave and a bit noisy for my liking.

I will be buying 2 of each so need to be happy with them A set for home and a set for work.

    Suggestions would be great.

    Thanks

Lol I moved away from a 'ball' mouse years ago, I couldn't see myself going back to one now.

I "borrowed" one of these from work, nice keyboard with i guess all the buttons you could need.

That's half the problem the more you look / read the more confusing it gets.

Was more or less after opinions of what others have used more than anything.

Have you tried one of the Apple Keyboards ? Slim Line & Slim keys, Makes typing so much faster and nicer, no more big clunky keys like most keyboards.

I have gigabyte 'GHOST' mouse. Not overy pretty to look at, but damn it's comfy. Adjustable weights in the bum are nifty too. Fully programmable macros for all the buttons. $59 fro pccg.
    Win for me.

I ended going Logitech for both mouse and keyboard.

    Keyboard - Logitech K800
    Mouse - Logitech MX950

The Razor blackwidow was very close but being a logitech fan for years I guess it swayed in that direction.

    Very happy so far.
