I keep my Nokia e72 specifically for doing audio recordings of cars. I recorded a Pendulum concert live, and it only started distorting at the loudest, deepest bass notes. Got a week or more out of that. I also found my old Sony Ericcson K770i the other day. I got 10 days out of that thing. It's also still holding 90% charge after being left off for 2.5 years without a charge.

Full Spectrum, phone calls do use a fair bit of battery, but the screen does use more. Calls use less battery again if you're on 2g instead of 3g, also.

This confuzzles me... Mine alphabetises them right off the bat. My phoen is a Nexus S, so it's pure android, not Touchwiz or Sense. Do you know if that is something they put into their own version?

Darren what do you think about the new Samsung Nexus with the android 4.0 platform ? Or should i get a S2 ? I also dislike Apple and there attitude of having to have i-tunes and credit cards just to make a phone call....

As yet I haven't had a play around with ICS, I moved to the dark side with the 4S that way I could get emails for work. All in all very much the same.

Having said that I've been meaning to get out the S2 and put ICS on there just to see what it goes like.

Battery life sucks on both but general use I really struggle to pick the difference, backups on the apple craps all over anything android has, it just works.

You went dark for emails.. Why couldn't you get emails on your SGS2?. I've got my home email, my gmail, and my work email all in the samsung hub. Samsung made something that i downloaded that was security encryptions? for the phone, it runs all the time now.

Since you left the lightning rom has died and the developer left. Another came along ultra toxic rom with lightning theme. He kept developing it and so far the last 8.0.2 has been the best by far. Android 2.3.6. Now if i fully charge the phone 100, and wake up 8-9 hours later it sits @ 95. Before it drained its arse off. But i have played with the phone kind of over-clocked it 1.5ghz.

Oh yes tell me about it, didn't have much choice in the matter, Android phones are considered a security risk by the global security team, no biggie it just sent me to the dark side.

I did charge the S2 earlier today as I had intentions of having a go at ICS, one thing makes me stick with iPhone and that's iMessage, free sms which of late there's plenty of so sure as hell cheap enough.

I was keeping an idea on lightning rom, left or passed away we'll never know I guess.

That's pretty impressive stats though! iPhone is shocking for battery life, no choice but to stick with it although I gotten used to having more chargers than you can poke a stick at.

I still do miss the flexibility of doing what I want and the beautiful big vibrant screen, the iphone doesn't even come close!

Apple paying global word to make androids unsafe lol. It's the open source that scares them off probably. Knowing any kid with a pc can design remake the operating system to their liking would scare most.

Your in the perfect position to test ICS even if all features aren't 100% but its close. Have you tried google chat?. $45 infinite plan free sms. I actually liked some features on the ios5. I like the way a picture message comes up on the screen, and also an sms below that. I thought that was fancy liked it.

    Here's the new guy doing the rom. [ROM][2.3.6][XWKK5] UltraToxic Rom v8.0.2 - Lite'ning Themed - xda-developers

Well i'm soon hoping that vibrant screen that makes love to your eye balls with a James Bond accent - turns into the all new HD Super AMOLED Plus. The next new big thing in screens from Samsung. Then i will die happy.
