Computer ruining like crap help?

Hows it going just wondering if anyone would have an answer to my computer problems.

So i have been told i have a pretty good setup and shouldn't have problems running most games.
This is my setup.

Intel core i5 quad core 3.30ghz processor (i5-2500)
ASRock H61M/U3S3
8GB RAM
Asus 210 1GB DDR3

System rates at 5.1.

Im not the smartest person with computers if anyone could give me help on why im having problems running 3 year old games on what im told is a new setup it would be much help thanks.

Based on your hardware specs, im guessing youve got software hogging resources or something.

Is the computer sluggish all the time? Ctrl Alt Dlt when it is and see where your resources are going.

Could also be that youre hard drive is filling up. How big is it/how much is left?

Just for the record, upgrading your GFX is going to do squat unless youre having troubles specifically with games etc. If its sluggish playing music or loading multiple applications its not the GFX.

My budget would be about $250.

My computers only sluggish when running games and the hard drives a 2TB and there's heaps of space left.My GFX is whats making the low rating everything else is up in the 7.0.

yeh that GFX is crap go for something like this Gigabyte Radeon HD6870
this should improve you results in playing games...in you can stretch your budget i would atleast look at gettin a 2Gb

Playing games 3 years old is shit for anyone using windows Vista or 7 or whatever. When I play Diablo 2 it runs like shit & I researched it & found it's just how windows is. You can try running under a different compatability mode, as in XP for an XP game, Vista for a Vista game, or 2000 or 95 depending on what game it is.

Yep its definitely your gfx card the one you have cannot handle allot of work its mostly for HTPC's (home theatre pc's, for playing movies mainly and surfing). Get that monster mentioned above you will not regret it.
