I originally thought the n8 was going to have a super camera 12mp. The guy selling the phones told us its not all cracked up what its meant to be. But my friend buy it. Now it takes a nice picture but it just doesn't hit the colour side of it. and that's what you need to be careful of the hype behind the high MP number just encase. Do some searches online and maybe you might find some tests that have picture done by it.

Ive gone from the Iphone to the galaxy sII and i would never go back to apple!

The iphone has just as much crap as the SII but I do not need itunes and im not stuck with the useless crap that apple provides.
I will never go back to apple after gettin ahold of this android phone.

As for people talking about shorter basttery life etc well you must have every app open and never properlly close them down, mine lasts up to 5 days before it needs a charge sometimes longer and i use my phone alot due to work

So agree, apple used to whinge about microsoft having a monopoly on computers...apple are far from user friendly and i reckon greedy...no click and drag itunes is a pain in the arse.. when contract runs out for me it is goodbye apple...they only sucked us in with the marketing through the movie and music industry anyhow

I am pretty happy with my N8 as a camera, the only thing is that the photos do drop in quality under non-optimal lighting (too bright or a little dark), but it really is a great phone. That being said my next one will be a galaxy S2 or S3 whenever it comes out.

Windows phones are crap.There is a reason there usually not mentioned in the same breath as iOs and Android. Nokia have dropped the ball as of late so I wouldn't be looking at getting a phone off them.

I'm keen to see if Windows 8 is released as a common platform across phones, tablets, notebooks and PCs when it's released with cloud sync for all apps and app content. If it is, I'm converting!

The first OS manufacturer to do this will have the government, corporate markets cornered overnight. And consumers will follow pretty quickly too.

It is a pitty that most mobile shops don't use live demo phones so you can see what they are like and how they work, I relied on youtube vids for reviewing my N8 which dosn't give you a feel for the OS or the hardware. Nokia are going windows so it will be interesting how that works, I would have preferred them go to Android so no more nokia for me. My wife has a Iphone4 and I have got to say the only advantage is the amount of apps for it, as a phone it sucks and dosn't get anwhere near the signal that my N8 does.

I find my N8 to be pretty good, I just get sick of the lag that sometimes happens with Symbian, even Anna, I think they undercooked the processor and ram for it which is just stupid for a supposid flagship phone.

so anyway i bought a nokia n9 (i wanted to be different) , because i couldnt wait =P
(even though 4g was tempting, i couldnt get an answer from telstra when nokia phones would be in aus on 4g)

funny when i gave it to dad and was like... "unlock this" took him a good 20 mins to just get in (with no codes or anything)
had 0 lag, and no issues (brand new but still)
i know it runs on a wierd operating system but apparently you can get an app or something and run any android app.
so far the battery is pretty good. i could always put the battery saver on, but i havent yet.
even still the battery will last 3-4 days.
also have a game emulator so i can play any SNES PS1 etc games on it =P

another good thing is that its built for "rural" areas.
so i never struggle to get a signal =P

ill have to let you guys know more when i get more used to it.
however for now it has been awesome =P

Biggest issue with your phone was the operating system, because hardware wise its very good as always.

I had the N95 and it was the same, find that light and it was brilliant. That was something like 4 phones ago, and the bloody thing is still working. I'd almost say its got to be one of the best phones i've had... I almost got the N8, but it was late hitting the shops and iphone 4 wasn't out and all the htc phones confused me . So i gave the first galaxy a go really liked it, but the S2 blew me head off it was brilliant lol..

The Galaxy S3 will go on show at next months Mobile World Congress like the S2. As for going on sale could take another 2-4 months?.

Hope so. My mate bought one and tells me about the lag, but its his first smart phone so he's pretty happy still. I'll tell him about that update..

Just read the s3 might debut wireless charging, so another cool thing but the rest Samsung are very right lipped about, people are just guessing about this one because inside word has been mute. One minute its having quad core 1.2mghz. Turn its having the newest and fastest dual core 2mghz. And they say this new dual core is on the newest architecture and at 2mghz it will be slicker than the tegra 3 quad core
