So the beta for rFactor 2 came out a couple of days ago. I've been racing Monaco in the 1960s F1/2/3 cars, and the physics are a huge step forward from rFactor 1, which was impressive on it's own. Keeping in mind it's just a beta, a lot of the features are yet to implemented/optimised. Tyre distortion is only being tested, the rain drop effect is not in yet, and the heat haze isn't too noticeable. The graphics engine is also not finished, so should be considerably better by the end of the beta.

It's $43 for the game + first 18 months of online racing, then $13/year to race online after that. Alternatively you can pay $83 once and get the game + online racing for the 'lifetime of the game'.
Another video of an F1 on Monaco. Finding the track conditions interesting, the difference between a fresh track and 10+ laps in when more rubber has been laid down is huge. 2+ seconds on a lap time, comfortably.

It's going to be absolutely amazing to play. Can't wait for it to be finished. NOTHING will come close for years - if ever. Hell nothing comes close for realism compared with rFactor 1 now!
