There is deff nothing physically attached to the floppy bus cable?
Got any virtual floppy drives running?
Run through the setup process, windows will allow for it to install from its own drivers file and then remove it in devmgmt.msc?
aZk.

Just a funny side story - I had a flash drive that thought it was a 1.44 floppy disk and would not format out to anything but 1.44mb's. - pipped me off no end
It now looks like a flat 1.44 floppy as I smashed it with a mallett.Felt so much better after that, as it had me trying to fix it for several days to no avail.
Loosely connected to the phantom 1.44 heading![]()

I was going to suggest physically installing a floppy drive. Then it wouldn't be a lie. lol
Had the same thing happen on my old machine and fixed it the same way. Not that you care now!

lol same - i'd be thrilled if some dopey prick would give me $10 for the whole lot!!!
I'll even toss in approx 50 NEW floppy disks. What a deal lol. (ex school stock)
You guys just dont know how important it is to have old floppy drives (and good ones) untill you try and convert 3000 Amiga disks to images on a pc, you would and I have, pay 50 bucks for the right drive![]()
