Im updating a database for someone at the moment, and they want me to change some cloumns on a table from a 15 character limit to a 30 character limit. i've tryed googled and help but cant find an answer. I cant ask the client how to do it, caus then she will know I have no clue
Im using office 2007
You need to open the database in the design view and then browse to the table that needs the field to be updated. Select the field you need to be updated and there should be a tab for general options, one of them will be field size. You can change that up to a certain number of characters. Am going off Office 2007 here which may be a bit different to previous versions.
No worries mate
