Hi all,
I just got asked by my sister-in-law to edit her wedding video (due to the fact that the doosh-bag who they paid to do it took off with providing the final product) & I am just looking for two decent programs to:
- Rip the video from DVD to MPEG, AVI etc etc
- Edit the footage eg. cut, add music, filters etc etc....
I have good experience with web design but never messed around with video editing/manipulation.... I know you can download programs from torrents but normally they come with a string of virus's & trojans so I'd either d/l from the company site or buy it from the shops.
Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance!![]()
autogordian knot will do the rip to avi, can specify file size, framerate, audiobtrate etc.
no experience with editing, short of using VirtualDub, which is an app that comes with autogordian knot. it's what autoGK parses off to. i've just used that to cut frames out and so on, but it handles audio streams, so i guess you could add music, it'd be a bit lo-tech for that kind of thing, no fades or anything.
Im going to hijack this a bit too if i may. Im after some software to do some editing for 1080 .AC3 files off a sony HD digital camra. These files **** me to tears as there seems to be minimal software out there to support them. Im trying to cut, edit fade, plus i want to cut out some sound and add music tracks and pics into it ect... any good recommendations much appreciated.
Sony Vegas is relatively easy to crack. have a go with that.
