Ok.. I have recently aquired a Dvd/screen for my car which is all in, installed etc..
I've been getting a little download happy with video clips as you can imagine.. However when I go to burn the vid clips to VCD, it fails like 80% of them with unsupported file format.. Admittedly I've been downloading mpeg/.mov/avi's etc
Few questions
Whats the best quality video file to d/l
How do I get them all to work on nero.
Also, I've noticed an.. editor? "skidvid" makes awesome quality files... comments/answers?
Just to update, cured my problem, i used VSO Convert X to DVD.
Cheers
Is it a divx player? Can you just play the AVI's without creating a DVD, ie burn the AVI / MPG's as data to a dvd then play the files. you'll usually be able to get 6 or so movies to a disc if doing this way.

"No, I'm not a pessimist. At some point the world shits on everybody. Pretending it ain't shit makes you an idiot, not an optimist."
Div-x are usually great copy's. Burn straight onto disc and play in a compatible dvd player.

they're actually film clips to play in a DVD player in the car..
There's a free video format conversion program called "SUPER".
Google it and it'll be one of the first results. It'll literally convert just about anything to just about anything else, you can specify the container (eg. AVI or 3GP), and the video and audio codecs.
It's a little bit advanced (especially if you don't have a clue what you're doing) but it does tend to have some sort of automatic settings. I used it to convert AVI files using the H.264 codec (high quality widescreen with small filesize!) to 3GP using H.263 video and AAC audio, and keeping the files to about 35mb/22 minutes for use on my wife's phone.
