Well worth it... very immersive game I think...
Most of them are still around the 110 mark, plus the DLC thats out on XBox Live. Im gonna wait till they release the Game of the Year edition, when all the games that were nominated for GOTY release another batch they send them with them the DLC tokens for the same price.

Playing it on PC. currently at 70+ hours, still havent finished it.. Just trying to do everything there is to do and find everything there is to find. Got the "Operation Anchorage" DLC but haven't installed it yet.. gonna wait till I finish the main storyline first. Still gotta get my hands on "Broken Steel" DLC too. Awesome game.

anyone found that experimental nuke gun thing? that plus god mode is fun.
grennan, finding ammo does get annoying. i just improved my melee and smacked people with sledgehammers and metal poles most of the time.
someone mentioned liberty prime. the stupid thing got stuck on the bridge for me. stood still and wouldnt move for ages. cant remember what i did to fix it

fallout3 was good, i found it a bit glitchy at times however.. i got stuck in that pedophiles dream camp and they wouldn't let me out (little lamp light)
Has anyone played Broken Steel yet?
I've got all the DLC so far, haven't found my way into the Pitt or OA yet... I'm about 3/4 through the main storyline as I restarted from scratch. I have more ammo than I know what to do with!
Been trying to mix about 80% exploration with 20% main quest, and doing whatever side quests I come across in the process... I'm not going to complete the main quest until I've explored as much as I can though, so I probably won't get into Broken Steel for a while though.
^^^ Nah, is it worth getting it?
Does it expand on the current landscape? like... as in the locations for the original are still in this one?
Sorry, haven't really looked into this one as i was shattered by the ending in the other one...![]()
Well, I'm level 22 now. And the ending *is* changed, so you can go from where you left off.
Some of the new weapons are really cool (I've only seen the tri-beam laser rifle and the heavy incinerator), but the new creatures will really suck your bullets away. I can kill Death Claws in 5 shots with Lincoln's Repeater but can empty about 80 rounds with the Chinese Assault Rifle into a Ghoul Reaver before it goes down. I'm using better criticals + more criticals and I have 8 luck at the moment so that helps.
Nothing on the map seems to have changed, and I haven't found anything relating to the other DLCs yet either.
But to be honest, I think Broken Steel is an indispensable add-on for it. I got it as soon as I could![]()
So with the DLC you can go higher than level 20?! awesome!

Yep, the level cap is now 30
And to be honest, if you make your intelligence as high as possible as soon as possible I don't think you need any more than 10 levels... Especially if you're investing in Comprehension and looking for skill books and bobble heads as much as I am.
Finished it recently, playing through again to make sure I didn't miss anything, its a pretty big game.
Ammo is easy to find, what ammo are you after? usually the best way is simply to buy it though, vendors re-stock and if you go between two or three different vendors you will be set.

Sneak head kills with the hunting rifle are the best, one shot per kill and you generally don't grab the attention of their buddies if you're far enough away.
Played and Finished it (before latest DLC was released)
Btw doesn't take much to run it on max setting haha,
Try the expansions (DLC) if you haven't already.
well worth getting paying for it or not.
Point lookout is latest one, of which i am working on now. Except i am currently set back with Prototype (LOVE IT)
BTW with the DLC level cap is raised to 30 in 2nd DLC and in Point Lookout, vbecomes challenging for even the most powerful characters
You probably should have read the latest posts in the thread :P
Currently level 23, I started again (for the third time) and planning on mapping the whole map before I finish the main quest. Or at least most of it anyway. I'm also trying to get all the bobble heads and skill books![]()
I just finished it today. Disappointed with the ending really but Im just waiting on my delivery of Microsoft Points and Ill get Broken Steel and the rest of the DLC so I can play on after the ending.

I loved this game, got so addicted!
However, was very dissapointed with an excessive amount of bugs and crashes! I wouldn't pay for it but in all, because the game was so good, I easily put up with it... The world in Fallout 3 is so big!
My 4.2L Turbo VT V6 - http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/...vt-vteazn.html
Got back into Fallout over the weekend.
Found a savegame just outside the purification place... and then pissed off on the mission to do my own thing.
Been running around exploring various vaults, did the vault 101 quest, found dogmeat, found the "Oasis", found some cool weapons. Now it's getting boring again.
Every new place I find now only has either Raiders of Mutants... no more survivor type towns.
Found the Antagoniser's Lair... but no Antagoniser...
Need new stuff to explore...
played it finished it a few times before broken steel and im now playing point lookout and looking forward to Mothership Zeta when it comes out on the 28th on July
whats the system requirements to have ultra high?
Ive got a core 2 duo 2.2ghz, 8800gt ddr3 graphics card 512mb, 6gb of ram (im using windows 7), and like 200gb of free space.

It does it on high graphics also, and when it scanned my system it auto picked ultra
