LAN Party

Well for the first time in a couple of years I packed up my PC and headed to a mate's place for an old school LAN party.

Was a whole lot of fun... Far Cry 2, CoDWaW, RA3 all a whole lot of fun and loo AWESOME! Quantum of Solace is a cheap CoDWaW rip off (same devs, same engine etc) but still a bit of fun. Some Flat Out 2 thrown in for light relief was also good.

Some GHWT on the big screen was also a laugh. BBQ, drinks, V8s on in the background. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday.

Still one of the cheapest ways to have a whole lot of fun with mates for 18hrs.

i usually get to gether with a few mates once a month for a lan party last time we just played cod4 for about 6 hours straight haha .......i agree not a bad way to spend a saturday with mates drinking and a bbq i cant wait for the next one

Yeah QoS is a CoDWaW ripoff and WaW is a cheap Modern Warfare ripoff.

Its quite fun we did that ages ago with some Unreal Tournament every now and then we hook the xbox's up for a Halo night.

Yeah, LAN parties are pretty fun. I normally have them at my house with my mates every 6 months or so. Sometimes I organise to have them at work, so that we can get a few more people (20-30 or so), use gigabit network gear etc, but organising something like that can prove to be difficult with not only time, but also everyone arguing as to what day suits who better :P

Maybe I'll do it again one day.

yeah done a few- always alot of fun, mainly halo 3 on our 360's. MUCH easier to set up. But most of the time we just do it online, again, even easier haha, plus you dont have people peering over to check out other screens lol

I havent been to a PC lan party in years. Used to go all the time then stopped and had xbox lans for ages but havent had one of them either due to xbox live... but the last PC lan party I went to was in a shed (a common place for our lan parties) but bout half way through the night the shed caught fire lol made quite a bang to the final round of CoD2 lol

Mate of mine owns a PC cafe, back in high school we used to do lock-in's every now and then where all the regulars would stay back after closing and we'd play all night long.
