    Default Hotmail hacked?

The other day an email got sent from my hotmail account to all my contacts advertising some site I have never seen before.
I was pretty ****ed off because I am pretty careful about what sites I use that address for, and haven't signed up for anything new in a while, but didn't think too much of it.

Well it turns out another one was sent this morning, and noone has really complained but I would hate it if my friends were sending me legit looking emails only to find they were spam.
Is there a way I can stop this without deleting the account completely? Maybe somehow stop messages being able to be sent, so that account can only recieve emails?
I had a look over the hotmail site and can't find anywhere to email them and ask, so does anyone here have any ideas?
