If its a USB mouse - I'd try re installing USB drivers or get a PS2 mouse to try

You would be surprised about heat, CPU's get hot quickly, one way to test the mouse is to unplug it, my bet would be power supply.

Its most probably a virus, run a virus check in Safe Mode.

And if the CPU fan is not connected or not placed properly the PC will shutdown within seconds. it would get no where near the desktop screen.

Could be a conflict of some sorts. Installed anything new recently? mouse, printer, other USB device? Try removing everything you don't need and re-start.

ok reformatted it seems ok but i still think there is a problem on start up so just after i have turned it on it says CPU error i dont have enough time to read it though. but ocmp seems to be running fine
