Hi all, before anyone flames me i have googled for a program and am currently downloading a 30 day trail one. But is anyone using a free landscapeing program?
I am doing my cert 4 in hort and need to design a garden. So i thought i would do an overall design for my yard. I lack the ability to draw to scale the design, but if i can use a program to do an arial type design as a full overview of my yard that would be great. This is the hardest module for me to do so i want to get it done so i can cruise through the next 6 months(1 module a month).
Cheers Shane

They're quite hard to find.
just use the 30 day trial, if it doesn't let you save you're design, just take a screen capture?
I'm doing my cert III in landscaping now so..
I probably wont be a huge help.
But that screen capture should catch all the scale and what not?
if not then u can just draw the scale over the top of it with a pencil?
wouldn't be hard seeing as its already drawn.
hope that helped
or even stick some graph paper in the printer and then just draw up the scale in a key or something.
use the graph paper with 5mm x 5mm boxes, might be easier to work out the measurements.
Yeah you guys can always try a Program called CorelDraw
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4 - Graphics
PM ME as i can show you MORE![]()
aHH double posted..
can you do lanscaping features in that?
measure up a yard, house, pop in some plants, paving, retainers, land levels etc?
Hey, not to sure as its been a very long time since i have used it and they were earlier versions of CorelDraw. I can't see why not. Can only give it a try![]()
fair enough.
just makes it easier when the program is fully tailored to do exactly what you want it to do.
I doubt you could do that with corel. The only this corel is good for is exporting the clip art, but that just my opinion...
I've got a couple, one isn't free, Punch! Home Design AS3000, which is awesome. The other was a freebie attached to a gardening mag, Garden Composer, off a Burke's Backyard mag from Feb 2008. Haven't really used it though, so i can't comment on it.
