BBC NEWS | UK | Magazine | Journey's end for Flight Simulator
the legendary team that has been bringing us MS Flightsimulator for almost 30 years has been dis-banded.
i being an Flight sim addict since i was 6 y/o, i'm abit sad to see that there will be no more new Flightsimulator games from Microsoft
(still remember in flightsim 98 melbourne airport was just 2 runways on a green area with no buildings)
i hope i'm not the only "flight simmer" not upset with seeing them go
oh well, at least i still got IL-2/Pacific fighters/1946/ lock on:MAC
I'd say you wont be alone. I always loved them, but I have to admit my favourite was Flight unlimited on the Windows 95 demo disc. It was basic and the stunt plane was great fun - was the first game that I actually played and could do good stall turns that felt realistic. Ever since I haven't been able to find anything like that.
But I believe flight unlimited was from the Microsoft guys?
Damn!Never really played it that much, but it had to have been one of the best flight sims available.

Ding dong the witch is dead!! It used to pain me when I was a newby working in the office of my old flying school when people asked if they could credit their flight sim hours to a licence. Even more so when I became an instructor teaching classes that contained a flight sim know it all.
Why have a flight simulator in which you can't shoot stuff?!
JetSpin Racing Team Mantre:
"F**k safety, I'm in a hurry"
Yeah thats my thing too.
There are plenty of old sims that could be redone, F16, EF 2000, Gunship 2000, Starwars and so forth
It is almost like the gaming industry decided not to make them anymore
