'remember me' etc doesn't work

hi, recently for some reason the remember me function of forums, myspace etc (including 'automatically log me in each time) feature doesn't work at all... when i revist any forum etc it doesn't even have my name typed in... what is the reason for this? I tried deleting cookies as suggested in that sticky ^^ but really its not logging out randomly as I use a site, just after exiting it. also clicking on friends profiles on myspace logs you out so its private... damn

Turn cookies back on, or stop browsing in private mode/clearing private data etc.

Also what browser are you using?
Check security settings, also check your anti-virus (security centre) isnt blocking it.

Thanks for the replies, I'm using firefox.

In the internet options bit, it has 'accept cookies' ticked... and it says 'keep for' and it says forever... also the 'clear private data when firefox is closed' is NOT ticked.... where else should i be looking? it has 'remember passwords for sites' ticked.
