digital camera help

hey guys

im looking at getting a new digital camera. as my old one is crap as.

after playing around with a few im not sure where to go.

ive been looking at some of the ultra slim ones they look good but not sure if they will compare to the bigger black ones.


im looking to spend from 300-900 dollars.

also what are the important factors when it comes to buying a camera. thanks alot guys.

id look at a fuji finepix s2000hd, they go for about 450 bucks.

i bought a fuji Finepix S8000fd a couple of month ago.really good cam with 18x opt. zoom which is really important in my opinion.good handling,but heavy.can only reccomend this cam.bought it at dick smith for 440$

Haydz, wait a bit and buy the new Canon 500D, I am sure the kit will be around the $1100 Mark, but is basically a mini me of the 50D, has live view, new sensor, HD recording etc. Well worth the money.

I'm looking at getting the 450D twin lens kit for about $1400 so how can you get the 500D for $1100? What shop would you recommend? I was looking to buy around the end of financial year period to get it cheaper so maybe around the $1250 mark. Would you recommend the 450D as a starters camera?

ended up with a fujifilm s100fs. have had it a while now and i love it.

it cost me 600 inc camera bag, memory card and an extra battery. its definitely been worth the money so far. the "stalker" lens gets a lot of attention too

14.1 optical zoom a stalker lens?

for someone in the know minux. but keep in mind im 17 and the camera my friends own are lucky to have a zooming lens. so they're like woah wtf is that you stalker.


im pretty happy with it so far. does everything i want it too. without being overly complicated
