    Question Who makes radiators???

    Hey guys

Im after a place in melbourne that can make a custom radiator for me, I want one with a bigger end tank on one end that is my reservoir as well to get the standard reservoir out of the engine bay.

    Any help would be great!!!

I think you missed the point of modern radiator tanks?

edit: you want air pockets to travel uphill to bleed them out.

yeah mate i know the deal with why the radiator tank is where it is, but at the end of the day it is there for convenience so you don't have to bleed the system everytime you open the cap...

Tonnes of cars don't have the reservoir at the highest part of the system, and you just bleed them through a bleed screw everytime you fill them. My dailys a BMW 318i and its like that, the radiator reservoir is attached to the passenger side end tank on the radiator...

I guess sometimes you just gotta sacrifice convenience when you modify a car...

Sorry if my last post sounded a bit rude, wasn't meant that way.

Not in Melb but another forum I visit recommends Motor Radiators, Adelaide, 08 8231 6256

It may be possible to use a vz ls1 radiator as they do not use the overflow in the engine bay like the earlier ls commodores. I have thought about this before but have not been able to find any info on it. just a suggestion

hey everyone, ive always liked the noise of a blow off valve hissing at the change of gear, n was wondering if there is a way to hook one up on a alloytec 3.6L without a turbo?

Let me know how ya go with finding info etc as it would really neatin up the engine bay. The easiest way would be to park your car next to a vz and compare :-)

cheers for the pic mate, helps out quite a bit... by the looks of it is that the coolant reservoir cap you can half see in the bottom right corner, coz if thats the case it looks like they've just put it in the same position as the V6 overflow bottles???
