    Edelbrock
    Dart
    Trick Flow
    Higgins CNC heads
    Kostecki CNC heads

All of the above would suffice.
Something with a slightly smaller comustion chamber to raise compression ratio slightly and CNC ported is what you would be after.

If you can get hold of another head cheap enough and send them away to Higgins im sure for just under $3,000 you would get a wicked set of heads back, best bet is to ring him and have a chat.

    Thats what i would do.

He may even have a spare one lying around, you never know.

Becareful were you get your heads from buy from a reputable company, seen a CV8 add only 4rwkw's from a set of so called ported heads.......

buy et performance heads they cost shit loads but are the best

or you could call egal auto parts the gm suplier and get some lsx 454 heads they flow the same as the ls7 and have the same ports but you will need a fast or ls7 manifold

    Yep words of wisdom.
Dont go for anything that advertises Big CFM numbers.
Go for increased compression and most important Air Velocity " speed thru the ports "
Big CFM means SFA these days.
Plenty of wood ducks out there get stung, dont be one of them.

Not sure if they would fit, i believe the LS7 has 2.20 inch inlet valves and they would hit on the bore of an LS1 block.

Yep, wont fit. Even if it did the valve would be shrouded by the bore & wouldnt flow properly.

here we go all about hp numbers ??? i spent 2500 on a manifold and only gained 7rwhp but f*ck me did it change the whole car and the way power was delivered, a dyno is just a tuning tool let the 1/4 make decisions

just got myself a 218/224 114lsa cam, what would be a good valve size for my heads on intake and exhaust or does anyone have any numbers for who i can call to get a price, going to use the heads that are on the car and get them ported with upgraded/ bigger valves but not sure what size to go for, not after huge numbers just a decent set to go with the cam to help it breath a little bit better or not worth it on a mild cam? Already got new pushrods, 918 valve springs, thinking about new lifters at same time so while heads are off may as well do it if worth it.
