    Default Error codes.

    Hi,
I'm just wondering if its possible to check the error codes on a VY with an LS1.
I've been getting a Check engine light for ages, but the car still runs fine.

I've recently replaced the exhaust system. The old droney POS Xforce system leaked like a siv, as did the extractors I was using.
I think that this may have caused the light, But I would like to check to make sure. Is there anyway I can do this with the LS1 diagnostic system at home, Or do I need to use a Tech two Diagnostic tool?

Also, is there anyway to clear them at home?

check the oxygen sensors, i know the blokes that did my extractors forgot to hook on back up and that caused the engine light to come on

Yeah they're not in ATM because I'm waiting for the extensions to arrive. So I know that'll be an issue at the moment. But the lights been on since about March .

you need tech 2, a guy at work asked and we checked all the info we could, older v8's and v6's you can do the shorting of the pins to bring up the codes, but ls1 you need tech 2.

the oxy sensors are in a different position to std.. that throws the check engine light. happens all the time with extractor installs. something about temps..... so ive been told. tuners can pass it.

It was on before the extractors went on. Had HM shorties before so the oxy sensor was in the same place.
Also its in the same spot with the Pacemakers (same spot as a VX anyway).
