from what iv heard meant to be a good cam, made good power in a 6ltr l98 i think it was, contact chev's performance, they put this in and might be able to give u a better idea, i'm looking at putting it in a 383 stroked ls1, cathedral port heads and been told it will be good in that, guess it also comes down to the tuner and what else you've got to support it, i think they've had good results in the states too in both manuals and autos.
so what car/ what engine???
vu ss ls1 auto
does anyone have ant other suggestions on another cam
big go the turbo killer 237/242 but I couldn't justify spending $750 on that cam when it really seems identical to texas speed MS3 for half that price
or there's a howards cam 232/236 which has decent lift
also you'll need a decent stall for any of these 3800 miminum
My mate has a Turbo Killer Cam (by GM-Motor Sports) installed in the same car you have. Cost him about 3k installed and fully tuned with a hot and cold dyno run... The thing sounds awesome.... (but check forum sponsors cams first)
I'd go something with less lift to be more reliable if you haven't got sufficient mods to suit, but the cam would sound very nice at idle!
i do not care about reliability. why would i go with less lift, less lift = less power wtf. i just want to no who makes the biggest cam that will make the most power with the standard ls1 pistons!!!!!!
there will be plenty of other mods to go with it and i don't care how much it cost.
Hmmm... this is starting to sound more and more like a question from someone who has no idea.
Few questions first:
1. you ride says you have a v6, you're asking about the biggest cam for LS1. DO you have an LS1?
2. How old are you? My guesstimate is about 12-17
3. In other threads you are talking about turbo's and also tuning a v6. Are you just randomly asking questions?
4. What is this car supposed to be used for?
FYI, more lift != more power... doing it properly = more power.

There's a big cam... ####e if I know it will work for you application but hell, it's big...

and year i'm 22yrs old
in saying that cam looks pritty f@*king sick will that work with factory pistons
Sorry, just usually we get alot of these sorts of questions around school holidays.
About the same language too.
haha
i'm not kidding i just want to no what the biggest cam i can put in a ls1 with stock pistons, i will be doing head and intake manifold etc. and yes i no i need lots of other shit to but all i want to no is what cam.
all this car is for is to sound tuff sit in the shed and look good and then pull some good numbers on the dyno and do some mad burnouts every now and than
Phat vy dont u have a vy v6 that you were gunna turbo
Year finished building. Thevy turbo
hahahaha. if he has the money to have a car that he can start up and listen to it idle for a bit then go for it lol.
Its YEAH, not YEAR you dope... Sell your car and buy a really really fast bike with no brakes.
The cam that Jesterats linked you too will fit 100% no worries! My mates mate has the same one and you don't need to do head work and won't have to touch the internals. He said that you don't even need valve springs done for that size cam as it works really really well with the ls1 and you loose lift if you replace them.
FIT IT ASAP! i want to see how it goes! Make sure you film it for us too
I think this thread has pretty much run its course at this point...
