Hi guys hoping you can help me.
I have brought a cam kit from the states and was just wondering if the cam i brought will work with 1.8 rockers or do i need to swap to 1.7 rockers?
the cam is as follows:
Lunati VooDoo 60511 - Cam Spec Card :: Lunati Power
Lunati Valve Springs - Gold Dual Valve Spring Kit For GM LS - Lunati Power
Lunati Pro Series Pushrods - 7.400 Lunati 7048-16 - Lunati Pro Series Pushrods - Overview - SummitRacing.com
and it currently has Yella Terra 1:80:1 roller rockers in it.
Will all of this work together or do i need to switch back to standard 1.7 ratio rockers?
thanks
Grant
No the lift is to high for 1.8 ratio, you might have to go back to stock.
It even mentions it on you cam specs. Alternatively you can go for different cams that love a high ratio rocker.
how so? the total lift is 0.600 with the 1.8 rockers, the valve springs are rated to 0.660 or is there more that comes into play with the calculations?
I think lift higher than .600 you need to fly cut the piston. Check the piston valve clearence between the two ratios. everything else looks ok, springs should be ok.
