Red face Newbie Question - LS1

    Hi guys/gals.

I want to remove the airbox lid to check the filter. I can see it is held in by three bolts.

Does the radiator cover need to be removed to remove the lid or the radiator overflow bottle moved back?

Newbie question I know. I searched and can't find anything. Even tried google with no luck. Help much appreciated.

    Cheers,

Just undo the 3 screws and wiggle the cover out of the way and pull the filter out.

    Thanks for that.
Hiding away was a K&N. Ditched it as I can't tell how long it's been in there or how well it's been serviced.
Going for an OTR soon with Mafless tune.

Mate K & N filters last forever. Just wash it in some hot soapy water and apply a minimum ammount of K & N filter oil. If you dont live in a dusty environment you dont even need to put any oil on. Most people over oil there filters way to much and this clogs them up and restrict them massively. Just to make sure, you do have a filter in there right now yeh?

Yeah there is a filter in there. The K&N I pulled out has definately seen better days hence I threw it out and as I'm switching to an OTR soon I won't need it.

I've used K&N and BMC filters in the past and when the OTR goes on another reuseable filter will be inserted. Paper one will get me by for now.
