Small, Medium, Large Cam?

Hey,

I'm just interest to know, what is considered a small, medium and large cam?

I know abot of people say they have a small or medium cam, but what makes a cam fall into each category?

EG, I have in the mid 23*/23* range, is this considered a small cam or a medium cam?

I have oztrack hps cam which is there biggest they go for the street, and it sounds pretty dam lumpy and its in 30 range

This is how i see it in my eyes.

Depends on the motor as well what engine work. A cam considered say medium in a ls3 can be classed as a big in a ls1.

A big cam in a ls2 can be a 240* if you have headwork. However with unopened heads a 230* is classed as big in a ls2.
