Hey everyone,
As you can see from the title,
I have an LS3 in a VP, got a conversion loom from Castlemaine and a cracked E38 from them too.
Engine is getting spark and fuel injector pulse, adequate fuel and oil pressure and runs for maybe a second before it cuts out.
I have tried disconnecting the cam sensor, MAF sensor and oil pressure sensor and starting it, with the same result.
Any LSx conversion whips out there that can help me out??

Is VATS disabled? This will cause it to start and stop quickly, as it thinks it's being stoleneither check your keyhead/contact is correct (and it matches your ECM) or if your not using it, that VATS is infact disabled.
CAE said it's been disabled, they tested the ecu in a VE too. Also with VATS you won't get spark or injector pulse. I'm getting both. the key pin was loose the other day and it was hanging on the starter, now with the pin in properly it starts for 1-2 secs and splutters out.
CAE don't know what the go is, they said they haven't done an LS3 loom like mine before so i'm the mule that suffers![]()
do they use kalmaker?
kalmaker requires a security reset after battery disconnection.
ignition on for a minute, then off for a minute. should be right then.

runs the original VE E38 ECM. these reset codes after battery off for half an hour. Tried that.. same shizzle![]()

what service number is on the E38?

nah haven't sorted it yet, moved state and working 60+hrs/week, can't tell u the service number atm. car isn't accesible.
What do you think it could be??
