problems with new auto transmission or stally

got a custom built auto box the other day with 2800 stally
put it in reverse and it feels like the handbrake is still on and will not move and in the other gears at high rpm(foot flat) it sound like the stally or bands start slipping and screams. the transmission feels solid so could it be the stally.

Have you checked that you fluid is at the correct (cold) level? If you are having problems you should contact the person that did the custom build and see what they have to say.

they put it together wrong if you had it past stall and it wont move the rong band and clutch are on at the same time causing plantery lock or maby the 1st reverse sprage is in the wrong way unlikley

edit not ot bag this forum but the guy from ats (he is one of the most renowned auto mechs) is on modified car forums he will know for sure im not a gearbox mechanic so dont take my word on it

yes the oil leveal is right contacted the builder the other day and he wants me to take it out and post it back to him so he can have a look and then post it back. not cheap as i'm in port macquarie and he is in brisbane and is not the funnest thin to do might just take it down to my local transmission guy tomoz and see what he says. does not sound like its going to be an easy fix anyway.
i got the gearbox from gear torque has anyone had any problem with them before

its now started to creep forwards when in neutral rang the builder on friday when i was at my local transmission place and put them on the phone to him and he basicaly wants nothing to do with it and said that i had installed it rong and he was not going to warrant it, even through id had it checked by my local trans specialist and they said it was his problem. booked it in with them on the 24 of oct so if anyone could give us a suggestion as to what could be wrong with it cause I'm sick of getting a lift everywhere.
