Hey guys,
i have a 2002 VY SS and was just wondering if anyone can help out with installation of a 5" monster tacho. any help would be appreciated.
cheers,
leigh
whats wrong with the taco in the dash
nothing, i like the look and will use the shift light as well...
I'm pretty sure he didn't ask whether he wanted an opinion on what it would look like, but help on installing it.
Sell it and buy a VN v6 auto off these forums. Most will already have one installed...
Or do a search for "Ultimate Tacho Thread"
Or search for "How to be fooly sikker than errey won"
If you want a shift light, Mighty Car Mods did a good video on installing one..
Black, Red leather, 20" Pentagons, Red walls, Lowered, OTR, Mafless, 3.9s, Diff dumpers, 341rwhp...
185i, Chasers, Flappers, Venetians, Sunvisor, Twin diff dumpers, 194rwhp...

far out guys i really don't see everyone problem with having a monster tacho? they read more accurate than a standard one, they have a shift light, can be place in more visible position gd for skids drag etc, lastly they look gd. it's no different to any other mod to a commodore.
If Barbie's so popular, why do you have to buy all her friends?
theres no problem with it at all rabbit, if its your car do what you want. the only problem is all these keyboard heros that f*** these threads up saying whats good and whats not
find a wiring diagram for your car and find out which wire is sending the signal to the tacho in the dash, (brown/red i think)
spice your 5" tacho signal into there
wire your positive to a constant 12v that comes on with ignition (find a wire, head unit, cig lighter whatever and spice into that
and ground the - wire
if their is a illumination wire.. wire that to the illumination switch on ur dash
all the info you should need
https://docs.google.com/viewer?url=h...ue&chrome=true
if you want just a shiftlight you dont need a monster tacho, this is what i put in mine.
