VX LS1 Computer issues

Hi guys can anyone tell me if a vx ls1 computer is compatable with a vy engine?

reason is the vx had a tune and the vy doesnt and thought I could save the money.

I was told it was compatable, as long as the security settings have been removed, of which I have done, but with the vx compuer the car will fire then die, whereas with the vy computer it starts and idles fine.

Yes, If they are both 12225074 numbered 512k PCM's . How did you remove the PCM security settings without a tuning tool like EFILive or HPTuners?

no worries found out the problem, the anti theft needed to be tuned off, starts without any issues now.
