    Default General thoughts?

Hey guys I own a Y series senator which at the moment is painfully stock.

I'm currently working on a 434ci single turbo from the states to slide under the hood next year some time! It's a 6 month wait for the short block from HKracing engines and I am inpatient!

With the LS1 which is currently in the car I was thinking about sliding in one of those big mutha thumper cams from comp, an OTR and mafless tune and an exhaust, once my new engine is complete the ls1 will be shoved into my missus VT, just a quick question

With the above mods what do you think it could pull at the wheels it currently has 257kw@fw with the above I was hoping for something close to that at the wheels! This is my first LS experiment as I have always had 304's or The older Chevys,

I had a twin turbo 383(304) which made 510rwkw in my incomplete vs and was a tone of fun so I can't wait to see what 434LS which hopefully will create close to 1000hp at the wheels. Should be good fun. Anyway let us know your thoughts

I would like a cheap 300atw but I have better things to spend money on Aja my new motor!

    Regards

    Simon

Yeah I will for sure! ATM For a kinda parts rundown I'm lookin
    RHS lsx block
    Callis rods and crank
    Wiesco pistons
    Trickflow heads
    Fast manifold
    61lbs injectors
    Magnafuel pump
    Haltech ecu
    Garrett gt55 turbo
    6boost manifolds
    Superglide
    4 link rear
    Tubs
    9 in

Budgeting around 35k for the most of it as I can do a lot of work myself and buying parts from the US makes things cheaper here and there. The only thing I won't do myself is make up the manifolds for the turbo's

Always wanted a monster street car and with big cube LS engines and turbochargers you can!

Why? Why would you put a piece of crap haltec ecu into a nice senator? Your current delco is so much better!

    Default comp cam

I would like to no how much power you make with the big motha thumpr cam. there a guy with a vy ss manual with the smaller mutha thumpr cam no head work just bigger throttel body thats it and he reconds he made 400rwhp. no dyno sheet to back that up. but he reconds it drives round town really well.

400 bhp is only 300 rwkw. That is believable with exhaust, CAI, tune and cam only... It's on the high side but with the right tune and tweaks completely achievable.

I've got 304 bhp / 225 rwkw (dyno tested) with only a standard 2.5" Monaro exhaust, non-OTR CAI I made out of old V6 radiator hoses (freaky how perfectly they do the job) and mail order Mafless tune. Mods have cost me all of about $500. Pretty much just the mafless tune moved the standard brochure KW from the flywheel to the rear wheels.
I haven't lost my mind, it's backed up on tape somewhere
