I'm looking for some recommendations for a Melbourne based tuner to bring my worked LS2 back to life

I'd prefer someone who wont give me any BS

They done my WH Caprice. I can't complain but on the same note i have no baseline to compare my results with.

End of the day the car runs well & the job seems fairly good.

Unfortunately APS won't touch it because they didn't do the engine work

I'm thinking of taking my car to APS ( are they any good? ) but have had the engine built elsewhere.

Is this a policy they have with tuning engines built by someone else?

Not a policy for them from what I know to deny any car they haven't worked on, but they might deny a car depending on if certain workshops have touched it before. Would be best to give them a call and discuss the situation, no 2 situations will be the same.

other workshops may have locked the ecu which makes it hard for others to tune up unless you have the unlock code

I got a quote from them to build my motor & when I was there the guy was saying they won't put a car on there dyno if they
didn't build it
It was a few months ago & they might have changed their mind now


What are ppl's thoughts on Springy Motors ??

I know for a fact that APS will work on (& tune) cars that they didn't build. As I said in the previous post, if someone is interested they should contact APS and find out for their specific case. Don't just assume that they won't touch it purely based on a post here...

Springy motors tuned my XR6T when i had it, Daniel worked at HPF and tuned the first 9sec XR6T, also he is the tuner for his uncle's drag car, Cortina that has been around a while called Satisfaction. His uncle is well known dragracer Joe Pirotta. If you decide to go there you should be very happy.
