    Default stupid exhaust question

just bought an 02 cv8 monaro. has a squeak down low just as u touch the throttle. it's pretty annoying, so I've found that its some little metal retainers that hold the exhaust rubbers on. is there a replacement option for these like just the little angled bits on the end cause it makes an otherwise nice car sound like a piece of shit.

I took mine off and my exhaust is yet to fall off the car. Give it a go without them.

besides removing them is there a decent replacement option that won't break the bank.

Conveniently one side of my exhaust fell off today - I blame this topic.

You put the cable tie around the pin in the car where the clip usually goes and leave the tail on the cable tie, this stops the rubber from sliding off.

Nah, rubber was still on the muffler. $1 for a clip from Holden solved the problem.

Bending the tabs in more to make it a tight fit works too.
