    Default L76 cam

Here is a link for a cam i want to put in my VZ SS 06. Would anyone be able to tell me for sure that it has everything i need for a L76 engine? (Precision International - Part Details). It needs to be suited for boost. (Is high lift good for that?), Is it true the l76 has L92 heads? Does it have a 3 bolt cam? Also has anyone got a video of a car with a cam like this one??

L76, L98, L92 and LS3 are all identical head castings. I assume you tried to link the cam you mentioned on the other page. If so, I wouldn't run a cam with that much lift in a boosted application, just makes life harder for the valvesprings.

Yes, L76's have a standard 3-bolt cam gear.

What kind of boost are you talking about? The duration on that cam would be better suited to a blower, but I still think its too big to be enjoyable. Might be alright for a dyno queen though.

Precision International - Part Details Hope that link works. I want to use a harrop supercharger or a whipple would be most likley. I orderd the valve spring kit the cam said to use so hope it all works out good. Do you think it will have a nice idle?

You would do well to listen to this man. He knows his stuff. Except for his taste in signatures :P

When i swaped cams to the smaller one i couldnt swap the vavle springs. Is that goin to be a problem? The spring i was ment to get wit the new choice of cam is 520lb and the first one is 550lbs. Will this make anymore problems

no it shouldn't, thats just how much the spring can handle, the spring rate would be higher with the first cam due to the size and obviously the harsher lobes (maybe).
