The Gear ratio is 3.73:1

Get the trans tuned to shift faster and harder especially if its stock, the difference will be like day and night.
You wont get a manual shifting any faster and consistently.
2007 E Series R8 M6, Stock for now.
lol 3000 stally? Unless you are putting out serious power, what is the point? I find it hilarious when i see guys driving around with huge stalls and loud exhausts only to have the car go not much faster than a stocky.

Converting to manual would be a big and expenisve job and unless you're circuit racing or something like that, won't give you any real benefit.
Get the auto's shift points reprogrammed and remove torque limiting on gear changes and I promise you won't be disappointed. Look at a 3000rpm stall only once you've exhausted easy bolt-on options (extractors, exhaust, air filter, tune....cam?)
Depending on what you call serious power I suppose.
The tunner says we should be looking between 280rwks and 300rwkw I have to believe him and he is the guy who said I will need a 3000rpm converter and him being the mechanic I once again have to believe him.
With the cam, heads and a few other mods and the cost of the job I sure hope he is right.
cheers
