I get between 350-400 per tank.383 Stroker engine 236/240 cam.Was running a 228/232 cam that gave better economy.

I have a 226/231 110lsa that gives 15.1L/100 around town with an average speed of 38kmh. On the highway with an average speed of 120kmh I get between 8.9 to 9.1 L/100k.
This is without lean cruise, DFCO etc turned on as I have the cruise cells set to my desired AFR. The around town can be better by having a bit more work on the tune to get DFCO operating how I like it but my time is limited at the moment.

Power on the dyno here is 288RWKW (Yet to be backed up on the track). The best I have run so far is 12.8 but this was with a LSD that is shot. 3.9's on a tightly shimmed LSD going in this weekend with new shocks so hopefully a low 12 to 11 is on the cards

    Economy....

cammed cars like to be cruised at a higher rpm range than normal. As down low rpm they are non efficient, hence worse economy. But on average 9-10's for auto's on the highway, manual roughly the same will depend on road conditions, as the same with around town.

The old saying is if you can afford to run a untuned LS1, you can afford to run a cammed LS1.

    power outputs....

this will alll depend on dyno figures, exhaust systems, air intake design, camshaft grind, cylinder heads, compression ratio's, auto vs man.

    track times.......

this will depend on vehicle setup, weight of car, gearing, and of coarse the driver plays the most critical part.

I believe the V2 Monaro had a slightly more aggressive cam than the stock LS1 had. Not much in it though.

    Cheers,

Same Camshaft as far as i know.

The LS2/L76/L98 do vary in different durations.

is there a chart or table somewhere that gives the different sizes of camshafts and their improvements?

For instance a 228/232 = mild cam, better low end torque etc

There is no real chart at all, as camshaft durations, LC, lift, heads, compression ratio, all plays a massive part in where the torque and power curve will be and not to mention the tune.

Here is a guide that will help many out.......

Duration....the bigger the duration the higher the torque and power curve will be in the rev range.

LC.......longer LC equals smoother idle, less cylinder pressure, higher LC normally used for Forced Induction.

Thats all i can really say, every combination is different, customers expectations from the car, future modifications, compression ratio, fuel economy, auto vs manual, idle charateristics, throttle responce, torque and power curves will all be different in every way.

So its best to ask, on what would be the best choice of camshaft, to suit the application.

    I hope this helps
