I recon I would like to relocate the the coil packs and change the rails for some nicer ones. Has anyone got any good pics of the relocated coil packs. And has anyone tried to paint the intake manifold?

thought id bring this thread back from the dead instead of starting a new one. just painted the coil packs. what do you guys think?
got a ls6 manifold all sanded back ready for primer tomorrow. i am gonna paint it tiger mica, same colour as the car. also with the manifold will be using aftermarket fuel rails and braided fuel lines.

iv taken my cover off and put the vz covers on, they looked good but don't have any covers atm.
I do like the look of the Edelbrock split covers, there more like a coil cover so just neaten it up nicely from engine picks iv seen with them on.
This is my ls2 with the edelbrock coil covers they look great and you can hide all the injector harness too.

How hard was it to fit the covers if been told that you need to modify the back of the drivers side one to fit around the brake booster / master cylinder?
On the ve both sides had to be modified but on vz only one side needs to be done. I put mine on saw where it hit and cut from there.
That looks tuff as potta9, love the look of those covers, neatest ones iv seen for the ls that hide a lot of the wiring and coils.
There the ones i'm going to get for the VY.
Took me just shy of 3hours (plenty of testing clearances on the ve) including hiding wiring but looks great.
Hi, This is a pic of my clubsports coil covers, in case anyone was interested in what similar covers might look like on their LS1.

I suspect the best way to deal with procrastination is to put off the procrastination itself until later. I've been meaning to try this, but haven't gotten around to it yet...
coil covers? lol really?
nice clean engine bay tho
My old VT's bay.

That's awesome! So neat! Totally makes me look twice under my bonnet, sparking ideas.
I've got the two covers, cheapy "Monaro" ones from feebay. Don't fit properly, had to widen one of the post holes. They look okay, but don't have much definition being black to match the car.
I haven't lost my mind, it's backed up on tape somewhere
