Just wondering if there are manifold spacers for the alloytec?
and just wondering what mace has for Alloytecs, other then the manifold insulators, and CAI?
Thanks!
alloytec development!! DO IT!! haha
hey guys i got a 2004 vz sv6, im thinkin about installing extractors and ehxaust all the way through, and change air filter any suggestions on what to use?
K&n..............
The ecu is a problem BUT we may have something around that, fingers crossed
If you want to use the factory airbox then I would suggest a Lukey-Blue Performance Air Filters as they are oil less, which is important for cars that run a MAF. K&N filter work well but you have be mind full of this
Clean your MAF
Otherwise we have a replacement CAI kit with a MAF safe filter which works well![]()
that sounds promising. tuning is still a pain, there is full supposrt over in the states, but no idea how long that will take to filter down here.
I might be an interested guinea pig.......
I just love the way other motorists on the highway think it's an unmarked cop car.........
And Yes, it is a manual
Well if ya need a VE I might be able to help out, just need details etc!
Cheers
Thanks for the offers, wasn't expecting so many so quickly!
However we do need a VE first off so it seems kuzman89 will be made the offer if his game![]()
just let me know mate, for how long, what your plans are and any risks if there are any involved.
kuzman you have a PM
As for the VZ boys I've put you on a list of interest for a VZ tune
Cheers
Steve
Definitely![]()
hahaha sweeeet.
well when i have funds i will get some manifold spacers off you guys.. and some sort of a CAI.. mate has a POD on his SV6, is that the best way? or OTR good too?
probably the wrong thread my bad![]()
Na it's all good
In regards to the OTR's on alloytec here is what I've previous written
"Despite being an otr design, this particular otr doesn't work very well given the position of the MAF. It's for that reason they now have a cover on top to hide how the maf is positioned (read poorly)
If there was a mafless option for the alloytecs in the tuning then going an otr would work well but given the size of the MAF, manifold geometry, space constraints it doesn't work all that well as other have pointed out.
Fortunately we can't take credit for that product as it's not ours :P"
Therefore going a pod (preferably enclosed) is the best solution when getting a CAI on an alloytec.
Cheers
