    Default Alloytec Tuning

Word on the street has it that mace has developed the tuning of the Alloytec a little further, including the gearbox.

How far have you come and what is new, is it available yet?

VZ stuff will be a while, especially the 5 speed auto which will be at least a few months.

VE on the other hand 08-onwards is good to go, just need to finialise some paperwork etc.

    Hope this clears things up.

    Cheers,

How about my 4 speed VZ ? looking at getting a tune, but the tunes out at the moment don't seem to attract me all that much... Want to see some decent power upgrade ( at least 30 - 40 HP at the wheels if its possible ) and want to get the box to shift harder and faster, hoping to chirp 2nd. Haven't looked a great deal into the tunes, But I know they are about $900

The VZ tunes will come a little later on in the year. As for getting that sort of figure with just a tune it would be unlikely.

If you want the box to shift harder and faster then install a shift kit.

If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to ask.

what could we expect for a VE 08 alloytec with 5spd auto? What's involved? expected gains? Approx prices?

Tunes for 08 VE's will be hear very soon, just won't be able to touch the 5spd auto component to it at the moment.

All good to go now, can do tunes for at the moment for $440

Bare in mind these aren't just basic mail order tunes, as the programmer we offer also doubles as a data logger, which is email back to us for a final revised tune (based on the initial tune we supply)

Does this tune work with the 3.6L SIDI?
And if it does, is there a chance you might have some products in the pipeline for the SIDI, especially a CAI?
If you have such products in the pipeline, I'll hold off spending my money elsewhere and wait for yours.

Ok with the Power Pro Flash tuning suite we can program a number a vehicles from 08 to current Commodore V6 and V8's including SIDI engines

In regards to other components to suit the SIDI model, I can't promise we'll have a CAI kit to suit anytime soon, so if you've found something you like go for it. In saying this though we have manifold insulators and plenum spacers to suit these engines now

I might have to look into a tune and manifold insulator at the same time then... what are the manifold insulators like to install on the SIDI engine?

Might be able to install the insulator for free for you in exchange for some happy snaps to be able to finalise these fitting instructions

Has anyone on here, or have many people fitted the manifold spacers to the SIDI?

Just having a look in the engine bay before, there doesn't appear to much clearance between the engine and the bonnet (when shut), I'm curious as to whether or not the manifold insulators will fit with no hassles...

To be honest I don't think there is anyone on JC at the moment who has fitted them. There is space for them just....
