ive maced the vn

Hey jents just thought id put my build thread in here ill start by telling you some info about it. Its a vn with a vs ecotec v6 i have taken it down the 1/4 mile and pulled a 15.5 with only diff gears and a catback but now i just installed the 1.98:1 high ratio rockers and 25mm and 12mm spacers from mace she flys ill put a mods list up and also a few vids and some build pics

. Mace 1.98:1 rockers
. Mace 25mm main spacer
. Mace 12mm plen spacer
. Mace 82c thurmostat
. Vy v6 injectors
. 3.73 diff gears
. 2 1/2 lukey cat back
. THE1 chip tune (jc member)
. 69mm mace throttle body
. stage 2 b&m transpak shift kit
. new intake pipe work
. vs l67 cold air intake


Next mods on my list are
. Exsaughst heat sheild
. Msd coils and ignighter
. Extractors

Nice mods so far, I'll be keeping a eye on this for your 1/4 mile times after fitting them.

Just wondering why you put 3.73 diff gears?

Cause they were free and wat a difference it made with them 16.4 to a 15.5 just with diff gears and a catback

Diff gears are easily the best bang for buck modification on ANY car if you're looking to go down the 1/4mile at a great(er) rate of knots.

If you're deadset on going fast down the 1/4 can I suggest a twin system? \
I know I bash this horse alot, but you will benifit from the the bottom end torque. 60ft times make or brake the rest of the run.
Also, have you considered a new bump stick to suit the rockers?

Ah, yeah I know how diff gears work giving faster acceleration or higher top speed depending what way you go

I was only asking why 3.73 as opposed to something more suited to the quarter mile, but for free yeah I can see why you use it over stock.

Do you use it as a daily as well?

Im going to get a mace 69mm tb then a retune of my chip and see wat it gets on the rollers for a motor thatz done over 200xxx on the clock

Ok new update got a mace 69mm tb and a wicked tune bt the1 on here and i also have a stage 2 b&m transpack kit on its way

Should be in good hands with The1 helping you out with the tune. He should be able to supply you with another memcal/computer. That way you can sell your chiptorque tune and get some of your coin back

I know an easy way to pull more power out of her...

Change to a Kickdown/TV Cable transmission & switch to Bank injection... Sequential is only good for fuel economy.
