    Default N/A ecotec mods???

just been browsing the mace site and some pretty impressive stuff i was just wondering though i got a stock vs commodore at the moment and if (hypothetically) i were to add all the v6 applicable mods minus turbos superchargers and strokers, such and cams, chips, rollers and all the air intake stuff would that see pretty big gains over stock or just be overkill?
    thanks

i asked this same question to mace not too long ago and apparently with all the bolt on mods you'll get about 30% more out of your engine or 130-140RWKW

The stroker kit in these work well. The only problem is that they virtually require a full engine build

bolt on means exactly what it sounds like, stuff you can just bolt on and don't need to pull the engine to pieces for.. So rockers yes but no cam.
Those figures more or less what my current set up makes.

So you put it on a dyno and didn't bother tuning it??? Why?

dyno comp mate, did it for giggles really...
Get's tuned with more mods this month..
I only used my car as an example of steve's products working in a true bolt on drive off application.

Tuning would help to get even more power and further enhance driveability, however with ecotec bolt on mods they're fine without one, assuming that the engine is in good working order.

I don't want to spend much on my N/A Ecotec VX but is it worth just getting the spacers and pretty much leaving it at that? All I really want is that little bit of extra kick down low. To give you an idea of what I am working with, everything on my car is stock except wheels and head unit.

Given your budget and the gains your after I would highly consider our manifold insulator and plenum spacer (in this order)

If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Which size of each? I've read bigger on one, smaller on the other for NA and the opposite for forced induction.

An ideal combo for NA would be a 12mm plenum spacer and a 25mm manifold insulator.
