    Default Insulators and Spacers

    Howdy all,

I'm pretty new to these forums but I've recently purchased the 12mm plenum spacer and 25mm manifold insulator from MACE for my vy s. For such simple mods, that you can easly install yourself. It's definately made changes to the drivability of the car for the better. Better off the mark and what seems to be more efficient right through. I'de just like to thank MACE for making these affordable mods available to us all.

    Cheers

There are no throttle body spacers as such for these engines (off the shelf that I know of anyways), however given that it's possible to easily increase plenum volume, I wouldn't bother with one.

This is because the TB spacers (helix spacers etc) improve air distribution by making the air turbulent, improving air distribution. Not an ideal way in this case, given that plenum volume can easily be increased without the expense of a pressure drop (restriction) of the TB spacer.

Increasing plenum volume, on the other hand, reduced the pressure drop (restriction) of air going into the engine.

If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to ask.

I've picked up a few parts( 69mm tb, memcal, 12mm plenum spacer and 12mm manifold insulator and 82 deg thermo) from mace and if i had 4 hands id give them 4 thumbs up!
Steve and the guys are easy to deal with and are always happy to help, even with all my nooby questions these parts in conjunction with my cai/k&n filter and exhaust have turned my standard vs ectotec into a sweet sounding, fuel efficient and responsive car. well worth the money and effort to put them in!!
