These mods have completely transformed the car, requiring a mere half throttle input to smoke the tyres in first or second gear with bucket loads of torque right from idle. 0 to 100k/h in 5 seconds flat when working out how to get traction, and not to mention the screeeeaaming charger.
Pretty good for just a few bolt-ons
Thanks to Steve and the team at MACE ENGINEERING GROUP for their amazing products and excellent customer service.
Also thanks to Jamie at FULL FLIGHT ENGINEERING for his excellent work.
and thanks to Michael at X-PLODE PERFORMANCE for great cats at a very good price which arrived at my house the next day.

damn man looks good got any dyno figures??
mite have to swap cars lol
Measured your boost yet?
manifold boost level was measured by tim and read exactly 12 psi
Are P platers allowed to have that sort of HP? Sorry if im wrong but i thought i saw a P plate in the windscreen.
Very nice otherwise![]()
im looking to do something similar with a transplant once im off my Ps... only thing is im gonna keep mine manual which isnt going to be easy (at least i cant see it being easy)
That is nice mate.

cheers guys,
no unfortunately not legal for P platers... however if you restrain yourself from hooning and seeking attention from the boys in blue you should be alright (even leave your rear p-plate on the parcel shelf). there are plenty of p platers around driving s15s v8s and what not... i hated seeing them happily driving their high powered vehicles with no problem while i was still driving a stock 6. I may get caught one day.. but I'll have to have some rotten luck for that to happen.
nice car man would love one myself , bit risky thou on your p's , you do know cops can run your plates instantly and it will come as supercharged vy ?
out of curiosity did you have foglights in before the front mount and couldnt fit it with them in there? or did you just have the black blanks
i did have fog lights but had to remove them due to the positioning of the pipes. depending on positioning of front mount/piping it may be possible to still keep foglights.
as for cops... i drove this thing for 2 years and never got pulled over. i am off my ps in 10 months to get done twice till then would be some rotten luck.
Looks like a good ride. just a note of caution, the boys in blue do frequent these sites so just be careful what you say. Would hate to see something happen to your ride.
Do you have the dyno results from the tuning? Would be good if you could post up the power/torque graphs.
Cheers

Paint the intercooler black and they would never suspect anything.
Have you removed the supercharged badges.
Love the car mate, would love to see some dyno figures + videos!!

Now that's how a genuine A2A intercooler kit should look like, with nice CNC bent pipes to suit![]()
Not bitsa pipe here and a million joins there kit etc
Love the pics Adz!
From memory this made around 200rwkw, however that definitely doens't tell the complete story with approximately that level of power accessible across the majority of the RPM range, hence the reason it's as quick as it is
Hopefully when Adz gets some time he can post up the and a sound clip (please)
Cheers,
Steve

it made 206rwkw to be exact.. Tim said it would have made more if we dynoed it the next day before all the heat soak. the power figure doesn't do these cars justice tho.. you just need to go for a drive in one to see what i mean. i will post the dyno sheets and videos etc when i get the car back from the auto mechanic.
After hearing it the other day I gotta say it sounds very tidy. Not sure if it needs an A/C delete to get down the 1/4 mile faster because the S pac has about 200kg less than a Calais on it so stop complaining![]()
VYII Calais L67
HAHA every little bit counts. Thanks for your help with the belt finally ended up getting the right one. calais would be about 50-60 kg heavier? perhaps more depending if it's optioned...After hearing it the other day I gotta say it sounds very tidy. Love it! Love the psi sixs..
Only change I'd make is change the crinkle pipe from the pod box to steel to natch the rest of the set up, otherwise DAM I want this![]()

ajvx01,
I suppose that would look good in a way, however I prefer the factory looking pipe myselfMaybe I'm showing my age LOL

cheers fellas,
I agree a stainless steel or aluminium pipe would look the treat however it would get warm and is more heat conductive than rubber or plastic which is my main concern. I'm hanging to put up a video as the car does go rather well for a six with
just a few bolt ons, however I'm embarrassed by the single spinner diff that's still in there lol haven't got around to putting an LSD in there (been busy with uni etc).
Thanks for the constructive feedback.
