    Default SIDI Insulators

So a couple of weeks ago I went and saw Steve, and picked up some Manifold Insulators off him.

I’ve contemplated them for a while, but never got around to it, in short, very glad I’ve finally done it!

The hardest part of the job was removing the trim panels under the windscreen, the actual install of the Insulators was very easy.

As for results, I fitted an Under Drive Pulley Kit at the same time, so I’m not sure how much of that I’m noticing. But reading what results the Insulators are meant to bring, and talking to Steve about it, I can feel the difference.
Low down punch has improved very nicely, and while cruising on the freeway I’ve noticed a slight drop in fuel consumption.

At the end of the day, for lets face it, not a very large cost at all, it’s well worth the effort to install them.

Thanks goes to Kuzman for helping me install them, and WildfireSV6 for assisting with how and what needs to be removed

yeah i did the same thing ... i procrastinated for ages ... but glad when i did it

i already had the underdrive pulley on ... so what i noticed was purely the insulators ... and although small there was a definate change and for the price well worth it

Strangely, i didn't have to take out the trim panels under the windscreen to do the fitting... Don't know why but i didn't... lol
But ye, there is a small difference when they are fitted and its worth it for its price.

Thanks for the constructive feedback bigjim92

These simple bolt on mods are really worthwhile in our philosophy as they don't compromise engine performance in any other respect such as big exhaust systems and cams can. They really are ideal for the everyday street driven family wagon and yet work just as well on high end high performance builds.

Do you have any alloytec by any chance?

The gains of the insulators would be proportional to the price of the tune, from my understanding
