Hi there, im planning on buying some performance upgrades in the next couple of months including a cai, 1.98:1 rockers, throttle body and 25mm manifold spacer, just wanted to know if all these mods will work well together, any help appreciated, thanks alot.
Of course they will. Cold air intake will allow more air in. Rockers will allow the valves to open for longer meaning more air in. Throttle body will also allow more air in. Spacers will allow more air in as well as cool the incoming air a little. I suggest a tune as well to maximise the benefits.

kind of a stupid question lol
VR and VS error codes:
VS V8 DTC/Error codes comprehensive list.
VS V6 DTC/Error codes comprehensive list.
Agreed not a stupid question just not a researched one...
Also you will not need a tune, you can get one and theyl give more gains but none of those mods must be tuned, I ran all them together untuned for over a year..
Wanted to buy VC sunroof
Pm me
Ok great, should the tune be done after everything has been completed coz I may decide to add more later on? thanks alot for the help
dont waste your money on a tune untill youve pretty much completed your modifications or youve gone nuts with a big mod like cam, heads, boost or manifold..
i didnt tune untill i got my MRC performance manifold and it drove like a dream...
Wanted to buy VC sunroof
Pm me
As said tune is best left till last unless you do something dramatic.

Alright great thanks heaps for the info, also I was curious about the 25mm manifold spacer l, does it interfere at all with the bonnet?
Speak to Steve, u should be fine.. Just make sure you only go 12mm with the top spacer, or youl lose throttle response.

Ok thanks mate
All of those mods you've suggested will certainly work well together. Best to leave a tune last.
If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.

hi dont mean to hijack the thread but with the 12mm spacer for teh plenum could you go lets say...6 mm? ive herd of people making up there own (a fair bit of work and lets face it for 150 bucks you may aswell go with MACE's 12mm one)
does 6mm raise make a difference? i cant see how?
sorry for teh stupid questions
thanks
Thanks Steve, I was also wondering if I hadboth plenum and manifold spacer would they interfere with the bonnet?
As said before 12mm for the plenum 25 for the manifold is perfect on a naturally aspirated car. If you go 25mm plenum spacer you lose some throttle response. If your going for forced induction then the opposite is the case 12mm manifold 25mm plenum. Mace have put a lot of R&D into these products and determined the best sizes and what works well.

Ok good to know thanks mate
Gawfo,
Wraith has pretty much summed up the spacer sizes/recommendations well
