excellent thanks steve,
having the high ratio rockers i instictively looked at the cam advertised as to suit.
can you put suitable lifters into that final price for me and i will get it sorted this week.
130lb springs or 105lb?
as always your advise has been invaluble, i will be going W2A intermediate in the couple of months after, besides diff gears and sprucing up the auto, what would you recommend after that?

I can certainly understand

I would be leaning more to the 130lbs given you’re running a double row chain set. The reason being is that, given the lift, they’ll have a much greater fatigue life then the 105’s. In saying this though everyone has their opinion on this
“as always your advise has been invaluble, i will be going W2A intermediate in the couple of months after, besides diff gears and sprucing up the auto, what would you recommend after that?”
In regards to what I’d recommend, well that would come down to what you would want out of your build (?)

Hey mate. I've got a vt series 2 xu6 and was wondering if there is any benefit to be had with going for your cold air intake over my standard hsv item.
Thanks man.
Pete
Hi Pete,
I can comfortably say that there would be a genuine benefit, with our CAI upgrade on your XU6. Being a supercharged 6, they response quite well.
If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Hi Steve,
Just after a price on getting intake manifold and blower match ported, I'm in Qld, so I'll have to get postage prices too (I'm in Nanango), but if so I'll strip the blower before I send it down to you. Unless you can recommend someone in rural Qld who could do it as I can't find anyone out here (closest is Brisbane I think). The car is a VX calais, 2000 model and is stock as they come... for now.
what kind of improvements could I expect from just this and a CAI?
Thanks mate,
Chris

We can certainly port the blower and lower inlet manifold for you.
Porting blower housing $220
Porting LIM $110
If you wanted us to do both items then we can include delivery for free
"what kind of improvements could I expect from just this and a CAI? "
It improves power output and make the engine run more safely given the improved air distribution.
In saying that though, if the CAI kit is your only mod then I would either consider a boost upgrade kit or a set of higher ratio rockers as your next option. These would represent a greater value for money mod
Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any more questions.

Thanks for that Steve,
A higher boost pulley and rockers are on the "to do" list as the motor is already out I figured rather than pulling it apart later just get it done now. I'll look into costs of getting it to you and let you know.
Do you know how much these things weigh together at all or a rough postage/courier cost?
Is there a particular postal service or courier you would recommend?
I'm in no rush at the moment, but... how long dose this normally take once you receive the parts?
Thanks again for your help,
Chris

About 5-8 kilos once the it's all stripped down.
"Is there a particular postal service or courier you would recommend?"
An registered service is a must. We use Australia post for about 95% of the stuff we sell
"I'm in no rush at the moment, but... how long dose this normally take once you receive the parts?"
Once we have the parts it generally only takes a couple of days to turn it around and have then ready to send back.
"Thanks again for your help, "
No problem at all.

Hi Bart,
Sorry to bombard you with questions, but...
Are you able to weld up the water passages in the inlet manifold at the time of porting as well? If so, how much extra?
and could you also port the U bend off the back of the blower at the same time?
So all up that would be
LIM port
Blower port
Weld water passages
Port U bend
How much would I be looking at for all this together? May have to wait til tax time, lol.
Cheers mate.
Depending on your budget, boost upgrade, 1.9:1 rockers and a CAI kit
If you want the water ports welded up it will be an extra $50. As for porting the elbow and the back of the blower can certainly recommend someone for this work. Given the number of hours though, it may around the $500 mark
As for pricing will send you a PM shortly

Steve
