Knocking noise after installing new shocks and springs?

It may pay to remove said strut & make sure the nuts at the top of the strut mount are tight. If you've not torqued one or both correctly (as was the case with the s/bar link), you may have missed another. If all other components are in working order, nothing sould produce such a noise. Shorter...

Grinding noise when i come to a stop.

While you've got the wheels off, check the front hubs for play. Mine had a grinding noise at low speed only when braking. Turned out the left front bearing was shagged. Pricey to fix, but what can you do?

VS Commodore losing a lot of what appears to be transmission fluid

I'd say pan gasket, but it's a touch hard to say from those shots. Easy to fix, but a filthy job to do in your carport...

    FE2 Suspension question

Shocks have nothing to do with ride height; that is wholly controlled by the springs. If you've lowered the car AT ALL and retained the factory panhard rod, the axle will have certainly moved off-centre. You'll need an adjustable panhard rod to rectify this misalignment; it'll also save your...

K&N Oil Filter (HP-2001) fit VS???

All V6 Commodores up to vz run the same oil filter, 92132003 or Z154, depending on which school you're from. Exactly what prompts people to buy these K&N units is beyond me, but if it fits VN V6, it'll fit your VS. Or you can spend $10 on one that's been in production for two decades and KNOW...

VS Commodores! - Are they really this bad?

Is this clown for real?!! It's a commodore. Sometimes **** goes bad; they're built to a price. If you want a car that won't have the odd mechanical failure, buy a horse. If it goes round and round or up and down it WILL wear out sooner or later. This douche sounds like he's a school teacher, and...

    replacing pedals

Piece of piss if u pull the assembly out of the car. Drop the panel out from under the dash, disconnect the throttle cable from its slot in the pedal arm, remove the 3 nuts securing the assembly to the fire wall and head to a work bench. Release the tension on the spring by pushing it down and...

What exhaust to get in my car??

Redback system my ring! Guys buy em cause they're cheap, end of story. Flow is born out of quality material and workmanship. Get under the car, take measurements of maximum can size centre & rear, dig through (muffler manufactuer of choice)'s catalogue (can't beat Magnaflow), order cans...

    look at my first car.

Ditch the stickers, keep the chasers (add centre caps), for god's sake tint the glass & keep off the go pedal in the wet or there will surely be another green commodore with a pole print in the hind end.

Massive clunk in the front left with hard acceleration.

I'd be checking caster rod/control arm bushes; both well known for failure.
