King Springs, is there anything missing here?

Very nice. Which Pedders springs do you have in there?

King Springs, is there anything missing here?

I've learnt some interesting stuff about VE suspension since I bought my ute. It was fitted with Pedders sportsryder springs and felt really bad. It was crashing going over speed humps. I fitted some FE3 springs, and the ride was restored. The thing is, the Pedders 2954 springs lowered the...

King Springs, is there anything missing here?

Glad to see someone put some numbers up. It's the best way to compare springs. Standard VE2 FE2/3 springs are around 150 lb/in in the front, and 300 lb/in in the rear. So your springs are stiff. But you know that and like it that way, so that's great. Here is a chart from jhp indicating the...

    Weird insurance business

I was with Shannons for my HSV, but switched to NRMA as Shannons changed their nominated driver policy. With Shannon's conditions on my policy, only listed drivers are covered. Even though I hardly let anyone drive my car, surely the time I really want cover is when someone else is driving my...

    P0304, P0204 ignition coil?

Just had the same thing on my VE2 SSV ute. Funnily enough it was the same #4 cylinder. In my case, the injector was open circuit, so I replaced the injector. I'll start it tonight and see how it runs.

    Identifying FE2 springs

Can anyone identify some FE2 springs I have for my VE2 SSV ute. I'm re-fitting FE2s because the previous owners fitted some springs that have stuffed up the ride and handling. They fitted lowered, rock hard springs so now the car doesn't grip over bumps, and jolts into any speedhump. Better to...

[NSW] VE SSV Confusing V Badge

I've got a November '10 build VE2 SSV Redline ute. It has the SSV badge on the left of the tailgate with a red 'V', and an E85 badge on the RHS of the tailgate. It looks like Holden used a lot of different badges on these models.

    VE2 fader is greyed out

OK, I'll take some pics. The subs amp is in the wall panel behind the seats. I hope it's not too big of a job to remove.

    VE2 fader is greyed out

Sweet. I believe the ute subs amp is the same as the sedan amp. I'll have a go at cranking it up.

    VE2 fader is greyed out

Thanks UTE042NZ. I've read all the links, and other info on the net, and figure it is not worth the effort to change. I would have thought that a factory four speaker (well, 5 including the front centre speaker) system would have L-R and Fr-Rr adjustment as standard. But it appears to not be...

    VE2 fader is greyed out

There are factory standard rear speakers in the SSVs. There are 2 x 8" speakers in the bottom of the B pillars, and an amp behind the rear panel.

    VE2 fader is greyed out

Maybe I'd have to get one of these: https://www.aslautomedia.com.au/ve-series-2-e3-utility-speaker-fader-upgrade

    VE2 fader is greyed out

OK, thanks. I tried that but it apparently only works on VE Series 1. I've searched but can't find the same for the VE Series 2.

    VE2 fader is greyed out

I just bought an '11 SSV Redline ute. I can't turn up the factory sub-woofer as the Fader control is greyed out, so is unavailable. Any idea why this would be so? The speakers are working after my sparky replaced a blown fuse in the amp in the back panel.
