I had a cas issue and jacked car up and had a look , I unplugged connection to sensor and plug was full of gunk , cleaned out and plugged back in and car started... I was about to take to mechanic but luckily by having a look I’ve saved myself unnecessary cash. Wonder if I hadn’t realised issue...

Hi yeah once overheated noticed crack in hose about 30mm after hose clamp, cut off and joined up. Car ran for 2 days after overheating but had intermittent issues with losing power and stalling. Just read that overheating can stuff CAS which is causing car not to fire up. Also pulled thermostat...

My vt ss series 1 98 model has paint code of 6471 on plate under bonnet.
Cant find on internet. Its that dark blue which were pretty common. Almost looks like slight dark purple.

Cheers found issue, had mate helping and drivers side rear fuel rail wasnt bolted on. He didnt push into place and thought bolt was tight. All good, although I kinda sounded cool like a lumpy cam.lol.

Today I changed my roller lifters on my VT SS 5.0
While I made manifold off I replaced leads, did a fuel injector rebuild with kit as seemed appropriate while all accessible. Also cleaned manifold exterior and cleaned throttle body and replaced T/B gasket.
Now its all back together...
Cheers mate, hopefully hear back from welding shop today. Hopefully since on one broken he can weld back in correct position.
He's also going to strengthen others somehow so they dont fail sometime in near future.

Yeah got welder to see if he can weld tab back on. If that fails will go tie bar. If I go tie bar will pushrods or anything else need changing.
