Vk commodore green wire came off, does anyone know where this goes?

Tested the speed sensor at the back of motor /bell housing for resistance today and it reading 1, so I think the speed sensor is stuffed. Pulled it out and the magnet end is in good shape so it maybe the internal wiring of this sensor that is the issue as it’s critically important for the signal...

Vk commodore green wire came off, does anyone know where this goes?

When i pop the dizzy cap off the rotor has moved, but i haven't left the cap off and cranked engine to see if it really spins with cranking,, I will test this tomorrow. The wire to the coil makes something on the carb click,, just like when i turn the ignition on with the key, I hear a click...

Vk commodore green wire came off, does anyone know where this goes?

I got a spare EST module from ebay & put it in and still have the same issue and have 12v at the negative terminal of coil with test light and digital voltage reader,,, but a mate told me tonight to connect test light to negative and crank engine to see if the light flickers or stays constant...

Vk commodore green wire came off, does anyone know where this goes?

Is there a way to bypass the ignition switch on the steering column to send a signal to the coil to spark. I have tried a direct wire from battery to positive side of coil the cranking it with key but still no spark

Yes it has a speed sensor/magnet at the rear of the cylinder block that speaks to the EST module, which I have considered pulling to check, but not sure if this would prevent spark

That sound like a plan if I can't get this thing to work, but I would love to keep this thing original,, never had an issue in 10yrs with it, but appreciate the offer, see how we go.

Vk commodore green wire came off, does anyone know where this goes?

Yes I think you could be right there, it could be a spare signal/ground wire for Aircon, but as I don't have aircon/compressor, so the wire maybe there if I wanted to put it in. The green wire goes back to the main wiring harness connector next to the brake booster, where it is joined to...

Vk commodore green wire came off, does anyone know where this goes?

Unfortunately no wires coming out of the dizzy as it’s the electronic est type (pics attached). The wire trails back into the main wiring harness, so I don’t think it’s related to the no start & maybe a spare connection. Changed the est module in the passenger side kick well, still no start...

Vk commodore green wire came off, does anyone know where this goes?

The car ran great then when I went to start it the next day, it just cranks over & no spark to plugs. I have replaced the coil & still no spark. I have 12v to the + & - side of coil & discovered this thick green wire but couldn’t see where it had come out of. As far as i could see the coil just...
