this is my other toy, its a bit of fun on the road and dirt, and lean angles are obscene with scraping pegs on a pretty regular basis. sliding the rear into corners is addictive too!
the other fun thing is rounding up $15,000 plus sportsbikes in the tight stuff on a 'dirtbike'
i love my bike, and mods to come are looking like:
Cams
Exhaust
Big Bore
Slipper Clutch
the bike has done 10,500 k's already, and still going strong. big bore kit will probably come after it blows up haha.
i am waiting on front and rear guards to come in, just to neaten it up a bit.
cheers!![]()

Looking good mate, how does it go on the road? Sideways corners action? haha

it does quite well, considering its supposed to be a dirt bike. i can slide it into corners no worries, but i just need to get some track time to get it scraping the pegs when i'm sliding. pegs scrape when cornering hard though.
it will pull about 165k's flat out, not bad for standard but with some mods that could rise another 10-15...
0-100 times are around mid 5 sec, but i still haven't managed to launch and keep the front end down...
Yeah i know the problems of keeping a front end down,
i ride an 00kx125 with forged top end, it pulls around 120ish top of 6th gear, pretty scary on dirt haha

i want a motard so bad haha your bike looks sick.

looking at exhausts, but the thing is, i don't want to be too loud. most aftermarket stuff seems to be around the 96-98db range, and that is really loud...
should i just leave it stock or make a hell of a racket? standard muffler is a bit heavy, so there might be another up-side there!
not learner legal and only 2500cc![]()
Making and running DUAL CHIPPED ECU SINCE 2010
make a hell of a racket

looks good bud, there pretty fun bikes hey, can do anything on them. ride to work and stop off at moto x track on way home,go bush, give a skyline a run for its money(till 100kph)
and getting an exhaust is def worth it, ya get a fair bit more power out of them with a decent exhaust over stock ones, and the sound difference is just unreal... go loud. stock sounds crap.
just an idea----- ya should havea look into 'vortec' ignitions , i had a wr400 with one on it, it just has a switch on ya hangers which changes the timing, advances it and retards it. advancing it would make it rev out like nothing else(no rev limiter), and retarding it gave it bigger bottom end balls than ever. vortec/vortex or something
yeah vortex. i've been looking at them, need to do all the mods in one go, so cams, exhaust, ignition and maybe cut some holes in the airbox for some more flow so i only have to re-jet once.
the ignitions are good if you cant get premium fuel too, stops engine death.
yeah dude get some stage 2 cams and like an fmf pipe or even an m4 pipe if you wanna go really loud
picked up a new rear tyre, its a Bridgestone BT-003 RS and is one of the most grippy street tyres that they make. hopefully it is good, it cost me $230 fitted and that is with a discount.
i am still waiting on the front and rear guards, hopefully they come in the next two weeks.
Would love to do the same of yours, my bike is ****ing scary,

looks good mate iv been riding dirt bikes since i was 5 but i got a cbr250rr haha ironic pretty quik for a dirt bike
whats your cbr pull flat out? i got 183 the other day, it was so close to the limiter lol.
my new front and rear guards have not come in, so i told the local bike shop to stick them where they fit if they ever come in and i'm buying from elsewhere.
iv had it 190 wasnt much more there maybe 195-198 flat out
Yer, ive heard about these BRP's making bloody good tards, just the price that is the problem $1500-$2000 for a set of tards, it is a 2000 model but ill be leaving the engine alone until it starts showing problems, and with only 6000kms on it i could be waiting a while. Theres just so much torque and reliability.
